In recognition of this, Novari Health’s new AI feature is designed to help remove manual processes by automating the intake, extraction, and processing of referral documents. As a result, staff who were previously manually transcribing referrals can be freed up to do higher valued work.
The Novari AI system enhances accuracy by pre-populating data fields, detecting multiple referrals within a single document, and verifying patient information against existing records. The system quickly identifies incomplete referrals which can then be routed back to the referring clinician.
Queensway Carleton Hospital’s medical imaging department in Ottawa, Ontario is effectively leveraging this new AI capability to manage their high volumes of MRI requisitions more efficiently.
