Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) has commenced an implementation of the Novari Access to Care Platform. HHS is a leading-edge teaching hospital with over 15,000 employees, physicians and volunteers across its six-hospital sites and six specialized healthcare facilities. An experienced implementation team from Novari has begun to work with a multidisciplinary team from HHS towards a November 2017 go live. The Novari software is being provided as software as a service and is hosted on Microsoft’s Azure cloud in Canada. As with all Novari implementations, the objective is to both improve access to care patients, while improving the efficiencies and workflows at the hospital sites and in the physician offices.

“Before Novari, our admin staff in the surgeons’ offices had paper lists of all the patients waiting with their target dates to get surgery. Now, with Novari, they don’t need the paper lists. The surgeon’s office has a complete patient list that comes up on a screen in order of priority with the longest waiting patients at the top of the list. It’s right in front of them. It’s such a visible tool; it’s easy to share and it’s objective. It’s not the piece of paper where who knows if the dates are real? It is real and it’s right in front of people.”

– Leslie Gauthier, Executive Director of Clinical Support Services Hamilton Health Sciences
