KINGSTON, ON – December 12, 2023 – Novari Health has executed an agreement with Wellington Healthcare Alliance to implement our surgical wait list management and eBooking technology at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Louise Marshall Hospital, and Palmerston and District Hospital.

With support from the government of Ontario, the Novari ATC™ technology is being provided as software as a service to the hospitals and all surgical offices. The system will provide surgeons and their office staff access to a state-of-the-art electronic wait list management system and the ability to electronically coordinate the scheduling of surgeries and procedures with the hospitals. The software enhances the ability for collaboration and management of pooled lists of patients waiting for surgery as well as supporting a regional view of the demand for surgical services.

Leveraging Novari’s integration with the Ontario provincial Wait Time Information System (WTIS), managed by Ontario Health, real time surgical data from the participating hospitals will be automatically fed to the WTIS system. Novari is the largest integrated partner supplying data to WTIS used by the provincial health system to measure surgical volumes and wait times.

The government of Ontario and hospitals across the province have been working to mitigate the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients waiting for surgery, medical imaging, and many other healthcare services. Having a state-of-the-art surgical wait list management system complements these efforts.

Novari Health’s innovative and unique access to care technologies are live and being implemented at hospitals and regional health authorities in Canada and Australia. The Novari access to care platform helps improve access to care, wait times, and drive efficiencies for patients accessing a wide variety of health care services including surgery, mental health & addictions, diabetes, cardiac, medical imaging, etc.

“Wellington Health Care Alliance is elated to be working with Novari to enhance the delivery of our surgical services program. Implementing the Novari ATC platform to support our sites will increase the efficiency of our surgical program by reducing manual processes and streamlining accurate surgical wait time reporting to the WTIS.” – Angela Stanley, President and CEO, Wellington Healthcare Alliance

“This implementation of our access to care technology is part of a larger global effort by hospitals and health systems to address surgical backlogs and improve access to care for patients. We are pleased to be working with the teams at Wellington Healthcare Alliance to support them in these efforts.” John Sinclair, CPHIMS-CA, President, Novari Health
