KINGSTON, ON – Novari Health has announced that it has completed another successful implementation of its Medical Imaging Requisition Management (MIRM™) technology.
The software as a service (SaaS) technology was purchased by Hôpital Montfort with financial support from Ontario Health as an electronic means to manage the receipt, processing, workflows and waitlist management associated with inbound referrals for medical imaging. Individual workflows for MRI, CT, mammography, nuclear, and other imaging modalities are complex and still paper-based at most Canadian hospitals. The Novari MIRM system’s workflow capabilities can be configured by hospitals to accommodate unique workflows for each modality and eliminate risks and inefficiencies inherent in paper-based processes. The Novari technology provides front line staff and management with accurate and real-time data on the volume of requisitions, the status of every patient’s referral and bottlenecks in the system.
The Ontario Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, and hospitals across the province have been working to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patients. Having a modern medical imaging wait-list management and electronic workflow system complements these efforts for all patients including those waiting for surgical consults, surgery, and other procedures.
Novari Health’s innovative and unique access to care technologies are live and being implemented at hospitals and regional health authorities in Canada and Australia. The Novari access to care platform helps improve access to care, wait times, and drive efficiencies for patients accessing a wide variety of health care services including surgery, mental health & addictions, diabetes, cardiac, medical imaging, etc.
“We are pleased to have deployed this solution at Hôpital Montfort not only for our diagnostic imaging modalities, but also for our cardiology, pulmonary and sleep laboratory modalities. This was a first for Novari in these areas and we are proud to have worked with them on this innovation. Our clerical staff, technologists, radiologists and other physicians can now work more efficiently in a paperless environment, ultimately providing quality care in both official languages to our patients.” – Philippe Marleau, CIO/Vice President, Quality & Patient Support Services at Hôpital Montfort
“As hospitals everywhere struggle to find human resources, our technologies not only improve access for patients, but also help to alleviate the staffing burden of managing antiquated paper-based processes. Hôpital Montfort is bringing their vision to improve access to medical imaging services to life and we are pleased to support them.” John Sinclair, CPHIMS-CA, President, Novari Health
